Our Leadership
JASON MARSMAN - President
Police Officer Jason Marsman joined the NYPD in January of 2005 and has spent most of his career assigned to the 77th Precinct where he wore many hats including that of the command’s Crime Prevention Officer, Auxiliary Coordinator and Digital Communication Officer. Jason retired from the NYPD in 2025.
As a charter member of Brotherhood, he has served as a Precinct Delegate, Travel Secretary, and Vice President all before taking the reins as President. With a focus on expanding Brotherhood’s reach, he looks forward to working with the board to grow our membership and build upon our relationships with other organizations, both internal and external to the department.
“Our members are our most valuable resource. Without dedicated members willing to travel across the country on short notice, we can not accomplish our mission of supporting survivors of the fallen when it’s most needed. Please consider joining today.” - Jason Marsman
ROB NUGENT - President
Detective Rob Nugent joined the NYPD in January of 2005 and is currently assigned to the Intelligence Division. Previously, he has worked in the Chief of Department's Office, CityWide Vandals Task Force and the Transit Bureau. He was promoted to Detective Investigator in 2016 and again in October 2022 to Detective Second Grade. Rob retired from the NYPD in 2025 and now works in the corporate world.
He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Science from Long Island University-Brooklyn. He has previously held the positions of Vice President and Director of Fundraising, and has been instrumental in expanding the Brotherhood’s reach while engaging with members and the corporate community. His focus is on growing membership throughout the Department. He urges members of the Department to sign up and travel on a funeral deployment. “It is a humbling experience and one everyone should experience during their career”.
