ROB CORBETT - President
Lieutenant Rob Corbett joined the NYPD in April 1997. He graduated second in his academy class of approximately 1200, receiving the Chief of Department award. He worked in the 20th and 28th precincts before being promoted to sergeant in 2005. He was promoted to sergeant special assignment in 2009, lieutenant in 2011, and lieutenant special assignment in 2015. In 2009 he graduated cum laude from Brooklyn Law School and was admitted to the bar in New York. He has worked in the Criminal Justice Bureau, Police Commissioner’s Office, Office of the Chief of Department, and currently serves as the Managing Attorney of the Legal Bureau’s Police Action Litigation Section. He is the co-founder and inaugural president of Brotherhood for the Fallen.
JAMES BORRUSO - Vice President
Police Officer James Borusso is the co-founder and vice president of Brotherhood for the Fallen. He is a 17 year veteran of the NYPD assigned to PSA-1, a PBA Delegate, and soon to be promoted to sergeant. He has a B.S. in sociology and political science, graduating cum laude from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Before becoming the vice president, he was the travel secretary, dedicating 3 years to dealing with all the traveling logistics of the deployments. James would like to give a special thanks to his wife Jennifer, and his children Hailey & Logan, for their support.
KEVIN DONNELLAN - Treasurer
Sergeant Kevin Donnellan joined the NYPD in July 2006. He was promoted to detective in 2013 and sergeant in 2014. He has worked in the 60, TARU, and 72, where he now assigned as the crime analysis sergeant. Kevin boasts a M.B.A. from Wagner College and B.A. from the State University of New York. He is also actively involved in the Emerald Society and has been on the board of Brotherhood for the Fallen since its inception.
JACK CHENG - Secretary
Captain Jack Cheng joined the NYPD in January 2004. He was promoted to sergeant in March 2010, lieutenant in 2014, and captain in 2017. He is currently a zone commander in the Detective Bureau. He has previously worked in the 120, 122, Highway 5, PSA 1, and the 88. He has a B.S. in finance from the City University of New York. As the secretary, Jack ensures, among other things, that the membership list is continually updated, and that members receive their membership cards.
DORA TRACZ - Travel Secretary
Police Officer Dorota Tracz became a police officer in July 2012 and is assigned to the Transit Bureau. She has a B.S. in finance and investments from the City University of New York. After joining the Brotherhood and deploying to funerals, she was moved by the mission and understood the importance of the Brotherhood’s work. She immediately volunteered to help and became the travel secretary. The travel secretary position is probably the most demanding and unforgiving. It requires last minute preparation to send members of the service to funerals across the nation. It requires coordination of air travel, hotels, and rental cars among our members and even the other chapters of the Brotherhood for the Fallen.
MIKE STUMBO - Travel Secretary
Police Officer Michael Stumbo started with the NYPD in July 2004. He currently works in the Harbor Unit and previously worked in the 77 Precinct. He is the co-travel secretary, the most demanding job of our members. It requires last minute preparation to send members of the service to funerals across the nation. It requires coordination of air travel, hotels, and rental cars among our members and even the other chapters of the Brotherhood for the Fallen.
CLAUDIO DIAZ - Sergeant at Arms
Police Officer Claudio Diaz joined the NYPD in January 2015. He is assigned to the Transit Bureau. Claudio joined the Brotherhood and has deployed to dozens of funerals. He is a true believer in our mission and tries to spread that mission with everything he does. He immediately volunteered to get more involved and has been one of our most active members ever since.
ROBERT NUGENT - Director of Fundraising
Detective Robert Nugent joined the NYPD in January 2005. He has worked in the Transit Bureau, Chief of Department’s Investigative Review Section, and the Intelligence Division. He was promoted to Detective in 2016. He has a B.S. in sports medicine from Long Island University. As director of fundraising, he is instrumental in trying to expand the Brotherhood’s reach while engaging with members and the corporate community.
